Hello!  My name is Miriam Olmos Tapia, and I am a special education teacher.  In my country, Ecuador, I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Education, with a concentration in Special Education.  Here in the United States, I attended NJCU, where I obtained my Preschool through Grade 3 (P-3) certification and a Master's degree in Special Education.
Since 2011, I have worked in the North Bergen School District as a resource teacher.  This year, I will be working as a Pre-K special education teacher.  I am very excited to be your child's teacher for the 2025-2026 school year!  I love teaching and I'm very enthusiastic about helping my students develop their skills.  I hope to make your child's pre-kindergarten experience enriching and fun. 
In my free time, I love traveling, spending time with my family, watching movies, and reading.  I am also a cat person and have a cat named Leo.  I look forward to a fantastic school year ahead!  Communication is crucial, so please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns you may have.

1 bottle of hand sanitizer

1 can of Lysol disinfectant spray

1 bottle of liquid hand soap

1 box of Ziploc bags (gallon)

1 box of Ziploc sandwich-size bags

1 pack of plastic spoons
