School Lunch Application

The North Bergen School District has moved to Online Free & Reduced Meal Applications for the 2021-22 school year. 

          You must apply online every year. Please complete ONE (1) online meal application per household. If you have more than one child in the North Bergen School District, only ONE (1) online application is needed.  Before submitting your online meal application, please make sure you have LINKED your children in the Parent Portal following the directions at the bottom of this page***

HOW TO COMPLETE ONLINE MEAL APPLICATION: 

**Do not proceed to Step 1 until you have LINKED your children in the Parent Portal. See bottom of page directions.**

  1. Log on to the Realtime Parent Portal  viewing your YOUNGEST child.

  2. Click on “Meal Application” on the left hand side

  3. Read all application documents.

  4. Scroll down, complete the application, make sure to answer all questions, & check all boxes.

  5. Note: If you receive SNAP Benefits, your CASE NUMBER can be found on your Families First/EBT Card. This number begins with a LETTER + 9 digits. 

  6. When finished filling out the application, SAVE and SUBMIT to the district. 

  7. The district will determine eligibility and notify Parent/Guardian by letter. This eligibility letter can also be viewed in the Parent Portal under Correspondence.

  8. FAILURE TO ENTER ALL INFORMATION may result in your application being delayed. 

 

 **HOW TO LINK STUDENTS ON THE PARENT PORTAL**

  1. Log into Parent Portal using your YOUNGEST child’s log in.

  2. You will be prompted to reset your password, if you have not already done so

  3. In the Parent Portal Home screen, click on the 3 bars  located at the top right of the screen. 

  4. Navigate to Link/Switch Student option

  5. Create a new password for each student you link.

  6. Once you link all of your children, you only need to log into your YOUNGEST child in order to view your household.

  • If you DO NOT HAVE internet access, PAPER MEAL APPLICATIONS  are available in your child’s school main office, at lunch pick up locations, and can also be downloaded from the district website under the Parents Tab> School Lunch Forms.

Estimado Padre/Guardián,

El Distrito Escolar de North Bergen se ha trasladado a Aplicaciones de Comidas Gratuitas y Reducidas en línea para el año escolar 2021-22.

          Debe aplicar en línea todos los años. Por favor complete UNA (1) aplicación de comida en línea por hogar. Si tiene más de un hijo en el Distrito Escolar de North Bergen, solo se necesita UNA (1) aplicación en línea. Antes de enviar su aplicación de comida en línea, asegúrese de haber CONECTADO a sus hijos en el Portal para Padres siguiendo las instrucciones al final de esta página ***

CÓMO COMPLETAR LA SOLICITUD DE COMIDAS EN LÍNEA:

** No continúe con el Paso 1 hasta que haya CONECTADO a sus hijos en el Portal para Padres. Siga las instrucciones al final de la página. **

  1. Inicie sesión en el Portal para Padres en Realtime, usando a su hijo MÁS PEQUEÑO.

  2. Haga clic en "Aplicación de Comidas" en el lado izquierdo

  3. Lea todos los documentos de la aplicación.

  4. Desplácese hacia abajo y complete la aplicación, asegúrese de contestar todas las preguntas y marque todas las casillas.

  5. Si usted recibe los beneficios de SNAP, el número del CASO se encuentra en la tarjeta de Familia Primera/EBT. El número empieza con una LETRA y 9 números. 

  6. Cuando termine de llenar la aplicación, GUARDE y ENVÍE al distrito.

  7. El distrito determinará la elegibilidad y notificará al padre/guardián por carta. Esta carta de elegibilidad también se puede ver en el Portal para Padres en Correspondencia.

  8. NO COMPLETAR TODA LA INFORMACIÓN, puede tardar su aplicación.

 

 ** CÓMO CONECTAR A LOS ESTUDIANTES EN EL PORTAL PARA PADRES **

  1. Inicie sesión en Portal Para Padres utilizando el inicio de sesión de su hijo MÁS PEQUEÑO.

  2. Se le pedirá que restablezca su contraseña, si aún no lo ha hecho

  3. En la pantalla de inicio del Portal para Padres, haga clic en las 3 barras ubicadas en la parte derecha de la pantalla.

  4. Vaya a la opción Conectar/Cambiar estudiante

  5. Cree una nueva contraseña para cada estudiante que conectó.

  6. Una vez que conecte a todos sus hijos, solo necesita iniciar sesión usando su hijo MÁS PEQUEÑO para ver a todos en su hogar.

  • Si tiene problemas para INICIAR SESIÓN, envíe un correo electrónico a: [email protected], [email protected] o [email protected] (español) 
  • Si tiene alguna pregunta con las APLICACIONES DE COMIDAS, envíe un correo electrónico a Mercy Jauregui al BOE [email protected].us o llame al (201) 295-3993.
  • Si NO TIENE acceso a Internet, las APLICACIONES DE COMIDA EN  PAPEL están disponibles en la oficina principal de la escuela de su hijo, en los lugares donde se recoge el almuerzo y también se pueden descargar del sitio web del distrito en Padres> Formularios de Almuerzo Escolar.
