Welcome to our English as a Second Language Class! I am Mrs. Perez the new ESL teacher this year at Mckinley Elementary School. This school year we will work together as a team to help each other grow and reach our full potential academically, socially, and improve our English skills.

The mission for the North Bergen ESL/Bilingual Program is to preserve our students' heritage (linguistically and culturally), while expanding their skills and knowledge in order to achieve full integration individually and socially within the mosaic of a global culture.

The North Bergen ESL/Bilingual Program's vision is based on the premise that students are individual and resourceful learners. They will acculturate into a system that validates and promotes their self-worth while expanding their knowledge into an English environment within our global society.
