Report Card Grading Explanation

The Kindergarten Report Card is based on our state standards in Language Arts and Math. The rubrics are designed to measure student performance over the marking period. Performance indicators measure consistent student ability over time. Please refer to the explanation of grades below while viewing your child's report card. Academic subject areas will not contain a numeric grade. After viewing your child's report card please click on the box that acknowledges that you have reviewed the grade report.

NS - generally, a student who is consistently unable to demonstrate any understanding of the standard

AS - generally, a student who is consistently able to demonstrate some understanding of the standard with teacher assistance

MS - generally, a student who consistently demonstrates full understanding of the standard being measured (Remember, this will take time and this is the goal by the end of the school year as standards are grade level expectations over the course of the school year.)

ES - generally, a student who consistently demonstrates mastery of the standard and exceeds grade level expectations

NA- this standard was not graded at this time due to virtual instruction as per administration.
